The Nexel hosts a series of forums and focus group for those interested in exploring or collaborating with others on creating a Midlife Transition Program at their college or university. The majority of our meetings are exclusively for Nexel Members. If you wish to be notified about upcoming virtual public events, please click on the Contact button in the top right corner.

Save the Date for our next Virtual Public Forum

Featuring Laura Carstensen, Director of the Stanford Center on Longevity taking place on Friday, January 31st at 9:00 am Pacific. Register here to get the Zoom link.

In addition to quarterly members meetings, we host a series of Nexel Cafe drop-in information sessions - giving you an opportunity to chat with Nexel Collaborate members in an unstructured "office hours" format. Stay tuned for our next Cafe to be held in winter quarter.

We invite you to become a part of this “best practices” collaborative by joining the Collaborative and participating in one of our ongoing series of meetings and events. These events are designed for participants to ask questions and brainstorm ideas, both practical and theoretical, and discuss models with leaders who have gone through the process of launching a midlife transition program on their campus, as well as those contemplating starting one. Discussion topics range from program design, budgeting, gaining administration and faculty buy-in, to recruiting the ‘right’ group of folks who would most benefit from this kind of opportunity.
